Bunjwah people await completion of Dunadi-Bunjwa road 10/21/2016 11:34:07 PM Early Times Report Banjwah, Oct 21: The remote Bunjwah region of kishtwar district having only one road link " Dunadi Bunjwah road " became apple of discord between political parties and politicians from last decade is still awaiting personal intervention of J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti . " In Focus " Bunjwah naturally decorated region having potential to boost tourism is neglected as far as development is concernof. The Dunadi - Bunjwah road connecting Bunjwah with rest of the district and state became a headache for passengers as this road mostly remains closed during rains and winter season . Near about 35000 population having 26 km road is still not restored from last decade . Reliable source informed that crores of rupees had been withdrawn in name of Dunadi Bunjwah road from JKPCC and PMGSY . As on ground road is just like fish ponds as no proper drainage system and no R walls and protection walls are constructed resulting blockade of said road . Not only this , concerned agencies failed in removing slides and stones as passengers use their own techniques and had to push vehicles to reaches their destinations . Sources added that in year 2006 work over Dunadi Bunjwah road was started from kilometre 13 onwards and in year 2009 MLA Inderwal G M Saroori laid foundation stone for upgradiaton and improvement of Dunadi Bunjwah road from Dunadi upto kilometre 13 ( Noor) that is still not maintained as nearly 7 years are passing and JKPCC failed to maintain/restore dunadi bunjwah road . Nearly about hundred times the issue of Dunadi Bunjwah road was raised / highlighted in various editions of daliy leading newspapers of J&K and even in Hindustan Times , But till day no legislature or district administration and concerned agencies take their intrest in maintaining/ restoration of said road . Local seeks personal intervention of J&K CM Ms Mehbooba Mufti in taking her knee intrest in directing district administration and concerned agencies in maintaining Dunadi Bunjwah road at an earliest otherwise massive demonstration shall be observed and Batote Kishtwar highway shall be blocked in favour of their demands .   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
