New Delhi, Oct 21 :The villagers in Bobiya and Kathua are being evacuated in bullet-proof vehicles following repeated ceasefire violations and shelling by Pakistan. Pakistan troops have been firing continuously at the Bobiya Border Post since early morning on Friday. "The administration is not taking chances so the villagers are being evacuated in bullet proof vehicles," DSP Prithpal Singh said. He added the villagers are being shifted to safer places in view of firing from the Pakistan side. Sources say that six Pakistani Rangers have been in killed in the return fire by BSF, while BSF has confirmed that one of its jawan has been injured. The ceasefire violations by Pakistan have increased over the last 24 hours. Since surgical strikes on September 29, there have been 31 ceasefire violations by Pakistan till date. |
