Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 22: Taking a jibe at State Vigilance Commission (SVC), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Deep Singh said that they were surprised over the sudden appearance of "State Vigilance Commission" that too merely for early implementation of its recommendations for CCTV cameras in some govt. offices as a deterrent against corrupt officials.
According to press release, a meeting of members was held in which the said move of the SVC was termed as casual activism against the extra clever corrupt government officials and compared the move with beautiful lines of famous URDU poet "Mirza Gallib" i.e. Dil Ke Behlanain Ko, Gallib Yeh Khyal Acha Hai.
"A common citizen has almost lost all hopes from our so-called anti graft agencies of state as a result after of day to day media exposures related to nepotism and graft based corrupt functioning within ministries & almost all state government departments including of malfunctioning within University administrations", they said.
Former Chief Minister of state Jb. Omar Abdullah, before taking oath as CM in 2008, had loudly said that "we will provide teeth to the "State Accountability Commission-SAC" for a firm dealing against corruption but later on, developments were noticed as quite adverse and as a result, even jaws of the SAC were badly damaged by the Omar led NC-Congress coalition government through unwanted legislation, they added.
They further said, political ruling & so-called opposition class of state in total was/is never found serious for corruption free credible governance in the larger interest of the state and its citizens and had just preferred an arrangement of their own convenience always by weakening attempts towards un-monitored anti graft bodies.
The members of AAP who attended the meeting, including Kuldeep K Rao, Ram Paul Khajuria, Ram Singh Chouhan, Gurtaj Singh, Jai Dev Charak, Kalyan Singh Chib, Yog Raj Sharma, Anil Gaind & BL Bhagat.
