Early Time Report

Jammu, Oct 23: Panun Kashmir has expressed surprise over the remarks of former Chief Minister and NC President Farooq Abdullah favouring talks between Pakistan and India for the resolution of Kashmir issue.
Abdullah remarks are unwarranted and unjustified and amounts to demoralizing the forces. In a hurried convened meeting of Panun Kashmir in Jammu, the President of Panun Kashmir V K Bhat advised former Chief Minister from restraining himself from such mischievous statements which carry an element of treachery and is misleading. The party also slammed the opposition including Congress and CPI (M) for favouring talks with Pakistan at a critical juncture when our security forces are giving a befitting reply to them. The party President said that these pseudo secular and pseudo-nationalists always acts contrary to the decision taken by Central govt. While entire country stood behind the Govt. like a rock for the surgical strikes carried by Indian forces on the launching pads of terrorists in POK, it is shocking to hear from such leaders for holding talks with Pakistan.
It seems that these leaders are coming to the rescue of Pakistan as they fear that the strikes may damage and demolish the terrorist camps in POK, said the Convenor of the party Ravinder Jalali.
Had he (Abdullah) been serious in reducing the tension on the borders he should have appreciated the strikes and should have sought more to end the menace of terrorism, knowing well that it is the POK along LOC where all such aprox 150 such launching pads and terrorist training camps are run under the guidance and supervision of Pakistani Army and ISI.
It is strange that all such measures are taken to bring down the tension along LoC but these leaders, instead of appreciating the action, are apprehensive about the escalation of tension.
