Katra, Oct 24: A National level Management Development Programme (MDP) on "Creating Highly Effective Family Businesses" was organized today by School of Business (SoB) of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra. According to press release, CA Rakesh Gupta, Director, J&K Bank Ltd was the Chief Guest of the inaugural program. Annil Suri, Former Chairman, Federation of Industries, Jammu and Former President, BBIA was the Guest of Honour. The program aims to equip participants with the concepts of creating a viable family business environment for owners, entrepreneurs, develop 'workable' plan(s), provide key to success in family business through peer discussion, sharing experience of business speakers and experts in the related areas. During the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Mishra, Assistant Professor, SoB and Program Coordinator formally welcomed the gathering and briefed about the program. The inaugural programme was also addressed by the Guest of Honour and the Chief Guest. Delegates registered for the programme came from J & K and other states representing wide spectrum of academia. Faculty members, research scholars from other departments of SMVDU were also present in the inaugural programme. In the subsequent technical session's eminent personalities and successful entrepreneurs delivered lectures on various dimensions of successful and effective family business. CA Rakesh Gupta, shared his views on strategies for getting best from the family business while Annil Suri, discussed various aspects of continuity planning for family shareholder group. Eminent industrialist and Chairman, Confederation of Industries (Jammu Chapter) and Managing Director, KC. Group Raju Chowdhary shared his vision on developing next generation leadership in family business. |
