JAMMU, Oct 24: The crime branch of police has booked a man for allegedly preparing a fake PRC by forging the signatures of an ex-assistant commissioner (relief).
A communication No RRCM/PRC/16-17/6-7 along with the original PRC of Manpreet Singh, son of Popinder Singh of Dardapora, Barammua (at present Raipue Satwari), made by the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (M), Jammu, was received by CB on September 6, 2016, wherein it was alleged that the PRC was fake as the signatures of Rajesh Sharma, then assistant commissioner (relief), were forged as he was not posted in the organization in January 2016.
During probe, CB found out that the PRC was got prepared by Manpreet in connivance with some other persons under the forged signatures of then Assistant Commissioner (relief) through fraudulent means in order to seek cash assistance and other reliefs from the government.
The CB has booked him and others under sections 420, 465, 466, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B of RPC. |
