Early Times Report

JAMMU, Oct 24: Various small political groups in Kashmir have decried Government policy on Kashmir which is not inclined to start the dialogue process with Kashmiri people to defuse the ongoing crisis in Valley.
The rigid stand taken by Government to defuse prevailing crisis in Kashmir has led to further alienation of masses in the troubled Valley. "The rigid stand of Government is further alienating people of Valley and this going to give an edge to those forces who don't want situation should improve in Valley," said Mir Ghulam Rasool president People's Republican Party (PRP) Kashmir.
Mir while questioning the Government's decision in this regard said the Kashmiris who acceded to India in 1947 after rejecting two nation theory can't be dubbed as anti national. The students are perturbed as they have lost precious time of their academic career. The students are perturbed as they apprehend they can't do well in examinations, he added.
He said resumption of dialogue process is the only way-out to settle the present crisis in Valley. The students are demanding the exams be conducted in time but there is no one to hear them in Government. This way they become a pawn in the hands of those elements who want that Kashmir crisis should persist for longer period. Mir wanted to know what is the fault of the students and with its rigid stand government was pushing the student community to wall and leaving no scope for tiding over the prevailing crisis.
The dismissal of employees is another issue and this way the Government has created another section of people for confrontation, said G M War a political and social activist from North Kashmir township of Sopore. This reminded of Days of emergency of 1977 when the trade union activities were curtailed in the country. The Government should keep a good liaison with its employees who are its eyes and ears and refrain from confronting with them for restoration of peace in Valley.
