Jammu, Oct 24: Pursuant to inputs that Department of Health Services Jammu have purchased drugs on exorbitant rates some of which have been alleged to be spurious without adopting codal formalities thereby causing loss to the State Exchequer in connivance with the suppliers to confer undue benefit upon them with ulterior motive, a Joint Surprise Check (JSC) was conducted by the Vigilance Organisation Jammu today Accordingly, teams, each headed by DySP Vigilance Organisation Jammu, were deputed to Central Store, Govt. Medical College, Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Govt. Hospital Sarwal and Marh and samples of alleged spurious drugs have been lifted in presence of the experts of Drug and Food Control Organisation for further examination / analysis to proceed further into the matter. |
