BSF's strong retaliation silences enemy guns, 06 of family injured in Pak firing

Jammu, Oct 25: In a strong retaliatory action against Pak rangers BSF today claimed to have hit hard at least half a dozen border outposts to silence their guns along International Border. Pertinently Pakistan Rangers and troopers have violated ceasefire twice in Jammu and the Rajouri sector here today.
According to sources, atleast 11 border residents including 8 women, six of them from the same family were injured in series of Pak shelling in the RS Pura sector.
"Pakistan Rangers resorted to ceasefire violations by targeting civilian population in RS Pura sector in Jammu district this afternoon, a BSF spokesman said.
"Firing initially started from small arms and later mortar shelling also started from the Pakistani side targeting our civilian areas in the RS Pura sector," the spokesman said.
He said the BSF gave a befitting reply to the Pakistani fire and the intermittent firefight was going on.
Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner (Jammu) Simrandeep Singh said, "Six members of a family were injured due to splinters after a mortar shell fired by Pakistan Rangers exploded in their house in Suchetgarh sector of R S Pura in Jammu district."
"They are being given first aid at R S Pura hospital after which they will be shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) hospital here shortly," DC Jammu added.
Sharing details of ceasefire, an official said, "The injured have been identified as Shakshi, 12, daughter of Subash Kumar, Manju Choudhary, 15, daughter of Karan Choudhary, Veena, 26, wife of Pawan Kumar, Soma Devi, 40, wife of Raj Kumar, Kamlesh Kumari, 28, wife of Subash Kumar, Sanjana, 10, daughter of Pawan Kumar, all residents of Suchetgarh R S Pura were admitted to Govt Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu."
He also added that one Daljit Kour of Chanduchak, Kanhachak also got injured in Pak firing. Firing was still on along the borders of Jammu district.
Official BSF spokesperson, said that Pakistani Rangers today at around 1130 hrs opened fire with small arms followed by mortars in Suchetgarh sub sector of R S Pura.
"They (Pak) targeted forward BoPs in Abdullian and Chandu Chak villages and attracted effective retaliation from BSF, while intermittent firing was on.
Meanwhile Pakistan after a brief lull along Line of Control (LoC) today violated the ceasefire by firing heavily on forward posts on the Line of Control in Nowshera Sector of Rajouri district.
Defence sources said, "Pakistan violated truce and resorted to unprovoked firing at around 1030 hours in Baba Khori and Kalal areas of Nowshera sector of Rajouri district.
