PIL on smooth regulation of traffic

Jammu, Oct 27: In a PIL on smooth regulation of vehicular traffic in Jammu, a high court division bench of Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice B S Walia today directed the divisional commissioner, Jammu, JMC commissioner, IGP of traffic police and RTO, Jammu, to remain present in the court on November 10, 2016. After hearing the two sides, the bench also directed them to apprise the court of the steps which would be taken by them for implementation of the recommendations made by the high power committee. "In addition, the respondents shall also submit the 'Action Taken Report' in view of the plan which has been prepared by them," the court ordered. The PIL has also sought maintenance of public roads, removal of encroachments, laying of proper roads and enhancing the facilities for better public use in Jammu district and surrounding areas of other districts of the region. The bench also directed to list the matter on November 10, 2016. (JNF)
