Early Times Report Srinagar, Oct 28: Unidentified persons this evening torched private car of a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youth leader in downtown here. PDP youth leader Jeelani Kumar, said his white color Ford Figo JKO1 V 1502 was seen up in flames, almost an hour after the sundown. Kumar, a resident of Chine Kral Mohalla said at around 7:00 PM he had parked his car outside his house and was out to get a haircut from nearby barber's shop when he saw people running helter skelter. "As I came out of the shop, I saw my car up in flames," Jeelani said. A contractor by profession, Jeelani said a month back also his car was damaged by unidentified persons who pelted stones at him. "But today my car was torched," he said. The Srinagar native said since the unrest erupted in Kashmir he had been supporting "peoples aspirations, but still I was targeted." The PDP leader apprehends a threat to his life. "There's a definite threat to my life," he said. Police has filed case and started investigations. |
