JKPGTA calls on Director School Education

Jammu, Oct 28: A deputation of JK Post Graduate Teacher Association (JKPGTA) today called on Director School Education and appealed her to cancel the order number DSEJ/NG/PROM 7255-60, dated 11/2/2014.
According to press release, the delegation was led by Convener of Association Naresh Kumar Sharma.
They apprised Director school education that a" promotion scam" was made in which then director school education promoted 1193 teachers as masters wide order no DSEJ/NG/M/prom/7255-68 dated 11-02-2014.
The association claimed that the impugned order dated 11/02/2014 includes number of persons who were ineligible to be promoted as mastrs on account of following reasons.
"It includes hundreds of persons who have obtained B.Ed degrees from unrecognized universities which in effect rendered them ineligible to be considered for promotion", they said, adding, "It includes a number of person whom crimanal cases/ enquires are pending in particular 30 candidate who were involved in mass copying in Bed examination held in the examination centre of Manjakot of Rajouri's district."
And most importantly all these promotions were made at a time when there existed no vacancies against whom these teachers could be promoted as masters. This is in express violation of honable supreme court of India's judgment titled Suraj parkash Gupta V/sState of JK and ors 2000(3)SCR 807, they said, adding, the State Vigilance Organization has registered FIRs no 29 of 2015 and 30 of 2015 and the investigations are under way
The said matter is sub-judice in the honble High court of Jammu in a case entitled Naresh Kumar V/S state of JK SWP No 1716/2016 MP No 1/2016
The association asked the director school education Babila Rakwal to cancel/ revise the said impugned order No DSEJ/ NG/M/PROM 7255-68 dated 11-2-2014 and hold a fresh DPC at the earlist so that seniority of seniors shall remain intact, they said.
