LeT, HM posters found pasted at Sopore | | | Early Times Report Baramulla, Oct 28: Posters of LeT and HM militant outfits were today found pasted in Sopore town of Baramulla district in north Kashmir, warning people to follow the hurriyat's protest calenders in letter and spirit. According to sources, hand written posters of LeT and HM outfits were seen pasted on electric poles and shutters at different places in Sopore town. The two militant outfits have warned the general public to follow the protest calendar of Hurriyat Conference in letter and spirit, asking traders, transporters, vegetable and other vendors to shut their business. Sources said the militant outfits had also asked the people not to indulge in immoral activities otherwise they would have to be ready for the consequences. The posters were seen at different places including Noorbagh, Sidiq Colony, New Colony and near Sub- District Hospital, Sopore, sources informed. A senior police officer said this could be the handiwork of stone pelters or other miscreants. Such posters had appeared in Sopore town earlier also, he added Sources said there were clashes at various places after Friday prayers in Baramulla district, including Sopore town. After Friday prayers, the youth fought pitched battles with forces while police resorted to teargas shelling to disperse them, sources said. |
