RDSLR Udhampur visits remote areas of Latti, Dudu Basantgarh

Kishtwar Oct 28: In order to stream line and rejuvenate the functioning of Revenue Department, the Regional Director Survey and Land Records (Ex-officio Settlement officer) Udhampur Rajesh Kumar Shavan (KAS) after assuming the charge conducted the extensive touring of field. The field tour was aimed to have interaction with the land owners with the purpose to know there difficulties regarding land records and functioning of department and also to have spot redressal of the grievances. The villages visited included Rakhbadali, Rathiana on first day and on the second day the Director had interaction with the land owners. On way SDM Chanani recived the Settlement officer and briefed about the functioning of Sub Div Administration at Chanani offices of SDM and Tehsildar Chanani were also visited and the concerned officers apprised the Regional Director about the problems faced by the department regarding infrastructure vehicles and land records. Villages of Sudmahadev and Mantalai were also visited and revenue camp organized at Latti were people from all walks of life including Lamberdars, Chowkidars, Ex-Panches, Sarpanches and respectables attended. The pending mutations were also got attested. A similar camp was organized at Dudu where the revenue work of the land owners was attended and a meeting held with Tehsil/Subdivisional. A rousing reception was accorded to the visited officer at Basantgarh where large Number of people attended and expected such camps to be held by other officers too in future to mitigate their sufferings. Mutations where also got attested at Basantgarh. Regional Director was a accompanied by Sandesh Sharma KAS SDM Dudu, Tehsildar Sushil kumar Latti, Kewal Krishan SDM Basantgarh and Harjeet Singh Tehsildar Basantgarh along with Niab Tehsildars of respective areas and other officials. While concluding the four days tour Mr. Shavan advised the Revenue officers to enhance the field visits and interface with public to resolve all day to day issues with great proficiency and responsibility.
