Plus Two Forum holds interactive session with DSE

JAMMU, Oct 28: All J&K Plus two Lecturers' Forum held an interactive session with Director School Education, Jammu Babila Rakwal and outgoing Director Smita Sethi.
In the function held at SRML Hr. Sec. School, Jammu in which various Lecturers, Principals and Joint Directors apart from District Presidents of Jammu Division were present, a warm welcome was accorded to new Director School Education Jammu and send off was given to outgoing Director.
Earlier, both incumbent and former Director visited Kindergarten Section and interacted with young kids at SRML Hr. Sec. School, Jammu.
A formal welcome address was given by Kiranjeet Kour, President of the Forum and DSE, Jammu was apprised about various issues pertaining to Plus 2 Community in the shape of a memorandum.
The speakers sought Director School Education Jammu's intervention in solving the core issues of the cadre which include Running Grade Pattern in favour of Plus 2 Cadre, Regularization of all Incharge Officers of School Education Department, Reorganization of the Department, Promotion of Lecturers, Sr. Lecturers and Principals as various Institutions are suffering shortage of teaching staff and Heads of the Institution.
Speakers stressed upon a fixed calendar by the Board of School Education and said that management of BOSE should be run by the Officers drawn from the School Education Department to improve overall academic scenario and demanded that BOSE must supply confidential materials at the respective exams centres and routine to take the same from Police Stations should be done away with.
It was also brought into the notice of DSEJ that Lecturers engaged in teaching summer tutorials/CM Super 50/Remedial Classes during summer vacations in Jammu Division have not been given Benefit of Earned Leave / Cash-in-Lieu in their favour as announced by the Department on the analogy of their counterparts in Kashmir Division and the same should be given in their favour at the earliest.
