Chief Judicial Magistrate takes serious note, passes stricture against SIT

Ramban, Dec 8: Chief Judical Magistrate Ramban Yahaya Firdous , while take serious note for conducting investigation on slow pace observed that there had been sufficient delay in investigation and investigation is not going right track. These observation were made by the CJM in a bail application , the application / accused have submitted in his court . In the instant case according to the FIR no 1 of 2016 U/S 304-A RPC was registered at police station Chandekote .10 workers of a Beigh Construction Company (BCC) in Dalwas area of Chanderkote, engaged by national highway authority of India were charred to death and four labour got seriously injured in fire incident while a temporary steel pre-fabricated structures at Dalwas area of Chanderkote, by management of construction company caught fire on intervening night of 31th Dec 2015. While granting absolute bail to accused person Shalinder Singh , occurrence has almost one year back and the victims are yet to get the justice and the defaulters are yet to be booked. The court would not hesitate in making the observation that all this has happened only because of snails speed of the SIT.
The Judge had directed to investigation officer to speed up the investigation without further delay failing which the court would be constrained to take coercive steps after 29th of Dec 2016 .CPO shall produce the C.D alongwith I.O and chairman SIT ( Addl SP ) on next date of hearing.
