KP Migrant community totally ignored by collation Government: Pandita

Jammu, Dec 8: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee/SKF and Pradesh Congress Committee Migrant Cell was held here today under the Chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, President JTC/SKF and Co-convenor of PCC Migrant cell (J&K).
During the course of meeting Shadi Lal Pandita has said that the Kashmiri Pandit Migrant community has totally been ignored by the present collation government of PDP and BJP.
He said that relief assistance for the month of November has not yet been released to the relief holders which has made them to suffer hard as they have been facing difficulties in meeting their day to day domestic needs having no other source of livelihood except cash assistance relief.
Pandita has said that since the rates of all essential commodities including ration items have gone up as such the present cash assistance does not meet the day today expenses of families.
He has demanded that cash assistance relief be enhanced to the tune of Rs. 25000 per family.
Pandita has further said that various vested interests who are actually not migrants from Kashmir valley have managed the fraud registration as migrants in Relief organisation and have been availing undue benefits of cash assistance relief and rations.
A demand has been to the authorities for conducting a detailed investigation of such families and their cash assistance relief suspended/stopped and the savings thus caused utilized for enhancing cash assistance to genuine Migrant relief holders.
Pandita has further said that yet Aadhar Cards of various Migrants putting up at Jagti Migrant Camp and other non-campus have not been issued putting the migrants to lot of difficulties. He has demanded that the government should ensure deputing teams to the Zonal officers/Camp Commandants for ensuring preparation of Aadhar cards of the Migrants putting up at Jagti and other migrant Camps and non camps.
BJP leaders had assured that after taking over Government in Centre it will ensure rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandit migrant community in Kashmir valley in a safe and secure Place for their dignified living but it is unfortunate that nothing has been done for this community which is living in exile for past more than 27 years having suffered huge loss of their properties.
In case government fails to fulfill the genuine demands of the community, the community shall come on roads for agitation.
Prominent among others who were present in the meeting are: S/Sh. Raj Kumar Tickoo, Kashi Nath Bhat, Sunil Raina, R.K. Raina, Raj Kumar Bhat, Mithan Pandita, C.L. Pandita, S. L. Kar, Hari Krishan Pandita.
