Clerical Staff Association observes complete 'pen down strike'

Jammu, Dec 8: Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh All Department Clerical Staff Association today observed a complete Pen Down Strike was observed in all the Government Offices/PSU's/Semi Government Offices across all the District Headquarters of Jammu Division and urged the Government to solve the long pending demand of the employees regarding removal of pay anomalies of Clerical cadre by implementing the High Court order in this regard.
Symbolic token protests were led by Babu Hussain Malik, State President of Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association and others.
Speaking on the occasion, all the trade union leaders in one voice appealed to all the clerical cadre employees and other employees of Jammu Division to support the call for complete pen down strike on Dec 8-9 and to assemble in front of Press Club, Jammu on Dec 10, to show their solidarity with the Clerical Cadre Employees struggling to get pay anomalies settled once for all.
The strike was led by Mohd Iswic in Doda, in Kishtwar led by Mansoor Ahmad, in Rajouri led by Babu Ram, in Reasi led by Rajesh Ajnabi, in Kathua led by Kuldeep Kumar, in Poonch led by Ravinder Singh, in Samba led by Balwan Singh, in Ramban led by Mohd Aslam Parray, in Udhampur led by Ashok Vir Singh, in Leh by Tashi Choswal and in Kargil by Mukhtiar Khan.
The speakers highlighted their demands including removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre. All the representatives in one voice appealed to the government to implement the landmark judgement of the High Court vide SVVP No. 3058/2015, M.P. No. 01/2015 in letter and spirit regarding removal of pay anomalies of the clerical cadre at an earliest.
They also demanded DPC in all the departments after every 06 months and reorganization of the clerical cadre outside the Civil Secretariat on the pattern of Civil Secretariat besides Implementation of the 7th Pay Commission and etc.
Prominent who attended main protest were Bharat Bushan, Khurshid Ahmad Dewani, Ashok Singh, Javed Akhoon, Yash Paul Sharma, Meenakshi Sharma, Jaswant Singh, Ansuya Gupta, Seva Ram Rathore, Munish Sharma, Vishwa Bandhu, Farida Bano, Vikas Chander, Mohd Lateef and others.
