Design, Orientation workshop conducted

RAMBAN, Dec 8: A one day seminar on prospects of design, Architecture and Planning was conducted by the experts from Mumbai at Government Degree College (GDC) Ramban, here today.
The workshop on design and architecture was planned under the aegis of Indian Army. One day workshop at Ramban was organised primarily with an aim to enlighten the prospective of design and architecture careers other the conventional subjects.
Mangesh Jadhav and Bhakti took the lecture cum presentation at the college in which around 60 students including girls and boys attended the seminar and they were immensely benefited by the talk.
Architecture and textile design, ancient and traditional arts have emerged in contemporary times as a highly specialized and advance subject where creative thresholds are constantly challenged. To sharpen these aptitude the workshop was organised.
The workshop comprised of awareness talk supplemented with a video presentation by Bhakti on various kinds of design and its scope Post lunch includes short hands on exercise to explore design for junior college level students. Appreciation exercise of good small hands on exercise by students and talk on design career in architecture, interior product and textile.
Vice Principal of the college, S A Ganai, expressed his gratitude towards Indian Army and desired that such seminars would not only enlighten the students of Ramban but also provides and additional avenue for pursuing higher studies.
He also said that such programmes and seminar should continue in future too, speaking on the occasion Shabana expressed deep satisfaction over the workshop cum seminar.
The seminar has been yet another attempt of Indian Army for the inclusive growth of the region and opportunity for the students of the district to have a firsthand interaction with such renowned faculties in their college. All the participants and the teachers expressed their gratitude to Army and the visiting speakers
