Udhampur, Jan 10: Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) 4 Km Road from Pathi to Parli Pathi in district Udhampur are in worst condition . Villagers alleged that 10 years back the road work started but not completed yet.
Due to rainy season vehicles are unable to ply on above said road due slippery condition . Villagers alleged that if anybody fell ill it's hard to take the patient to the Hospital because of this condition of Road .They also alleged that the condition of the road is so bad that children cannot go to school for days in the rainy season. Due to bad condition of road the lives of the residents has become miserable.
Som Raj Ex Sarpanch of Pathi Panchayat while Talking to Early Times said that the work of Road was started in the year 2006-07 about 10 years back the PMGSY started the said road work but due to the neglect attitude of the concerned department the road still stand still .
There are only dust on said road .The life has been thrown out of gear of about six thousand inhabitants those who are living over there due to the worst condition of Road.
He added that many times they raised this issue in front of high heads of PMGSY department but they rue the lack of funds every time. He alleged that from many year the work was stopped after earth work and no one took any initiative to complete the said road due to this the villagers suffers worst. The students and the employees of schools do up and down daily basis on above said road route ,but due to the poor condition and bad shape of road it is posing a big threat to the lives of common masses . Generally employees from outside hardly prefer to work in this part of belt of Udhampur district. Mangat Ram a social worker from Pathi Panchayet said that mostly the school going children and patients are worst affected due to the deplorable condition of road .
Villagers demanded early black topping of Pathi to Parli Pathi Road to avoid untoward incident on said road.
