Akshay Azad Early Times Report jammu, Jan 11: An audio has gone viral over social networking site in past few days, in which some Coordinators were heard throwing obscene invectives over ASHA workers in some area of district Rajouri but after lapse of over a fortnight the Mission Directorate is yet to initiate action. As per the recorded audio file of 41 seconds, which has gone viral over social networking site Whatsapp, in which two Coordinators are heard as speaking language, full of expletives. As per the audio, these two coordinators were surfing the photographs uploaded by ASHA workers of area on the group of department. While surfing these photographs on the Whatsapp, one of the employee (Reportedly a block Coordinator of ASHA) said, "See these photographs, …..Routine Immunization NTB Thukar. It is insult to us as all officers of department are in this group". The second Coordinator, then heard as using an obscene invective…asserting to rape that Asha W The NHM directorate is yet to take action over an audio clip which has gone viral in which the coordinator could be clearly heard using abusive language slept during his conversation with Asha workers. The involved coordinators are yet to be taken to task orker. He then switched over to English and said, "Why ASHA's are without uniforms. Why loading such type of pictures on the group". Sources alleged that the audio was recorded by one of the ASHA worker present in the meeting called by Coordinators in one block of Rajouri and these Coordinators were openly using abusive language in front of these gullible ASHA workers, who got peanuts for providing basic help to pregnant ladies. "These Coordinators are employees of Health department are getting remuneration apart from their regular salary and by using such type of language, what they want to teach these illiterate ASHA workers", an official said, adding that ASHA workers were backbone of National Health Mission but such treatment was very unfortunate and action must be taken against these. NHM Director Dr. Mohan Singh said that if he would get complaint or the audio recording he would enquire the matter and take appropriate action against the involved officials. |
