BMS hold rally seeking implementation of demands

Jammu, Apr 17: Thousands of employees from different Govt departments, industrial workers under the banner of state Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh Jammu and Kashmir assembled near M.A.M stadium, Jammu today and held a massive rally and demonstration against anti workers policy of the state Govt and central Govt which failed to redress the genuine long pending demands of employees/ workers of the different categories working in different govt departments, Private sector, Anganwadi workers , Asha workers ,National Health Mission employees , Building Construction workers in the state from a long time .
Demands were to declare Anganwadi workers as Govt employees, Regularisation of Daily Rated, contractual / consolidated employees, Asha workers, N.H.M employees after 5 years service. To revise minimum wages for industrial workers to Rs 350/- per day for unskilled workers abolish contract labour system in regular nature of jobs, implementation of 7th pay commission at the earliest enhance medical allowance from Rs 300/- to Rs 1000/- per month improvement in provident fund organisation working and constitution of Different Labour Advisory Boards under different labour Laws
Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh Jammu and Kashmir state have submitted a charter of demands to Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and to Labour Minister social welfare minister, Health Minister Govt of Jammu and Kashmir for accepting genuine demands of employees/workers for the welfare of working class
The procession started from the M.A stadium, Dogra Chowk and passed through main bazaar of Jammu city and culminated at Indra chowk. While addressing the workers K.C Mishra stressed upon the central Govt. for to fallow all democratic norms and explore all bipartite system which is not being followed by the present central Govt. and all statuary committee meeting must be solved through these committees properly.
Senior leaderL.R.Singh Subash Verma and Ashok Choudhary president and Gen Secretary Harbans Choudhary vice President Smt Swarna Choudhary , Smt Neelam Sharma Anganwadi Association Rohit Seth President N.H.M Employees Association Ishfaq Ahmed Chouhan besides the above other prominent leaders from different Districts also addressed the employees / workers in support of the demands .
