Two bootleggers held with 90 pouches of illicit liquor

Samba, Apr 20. As a part of continuous drive against the menace of the drugs and illicit liquor launched by District Police Samba on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba (SSP) Anil Magotra -KPS, police today arrested two bootleggers and recovered 90 pouches of Illicit liquor from their possession.
According to police, a Police Party of P/S Ghagwal headed by SHO Ghagwal accompanied by IC PP Rajpura in association with a team of DSB Samba under the close supervision of In-charge Dy SP (Hqrs) Samba laid a surprise naka at Rajpura area intercepted a truck bearing Registration No. 1048/JK02G driven by one person namely Bishan Dass s/o Tej Ram r/o Kootah Tehsil Hiranager."
"During the checking of the said vehicle 50 pouches/nips of JK Excise (each 250/ml) were recovered from the possession of the driver who was arrested on the spot, police said. In this connection case FIR No 45/2017 u/s 48-A Excise Act stands registered at P/S Ghagwal and investigation taken up.
Similarly, in another incident a police party of P/S Ghagwal headed by SHO Ghagwal apprehended one Kulbhushan Singh S/o Puran Singh R/o 73 W-5 Hiranager alongwith 40 pouches/nips of JK Excise (each 250ml).
The accused was arrested on the spot and a case FIR No. 46/2017 u/s 48-A Excise Act has been registered at this PS and investigation taken up.
