Ramban, Apr 20: All J&K Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum (ReTTF) staged protest demonstration in front of district administration office on second consecutive day in favour of their long pending demands, here today.
Addressing the protestors state president ReTTF Vinod Kumar said that this step-motherly behaviour will not be tolerate further added that district Ramban had already received twice zero budget for SSA salary due to unknown reasons and now third time too, the said district had received only 81 lakhs which is not enough even for the salary of one zone.
They further said that the teachers are without salary from the past 6 to 7 months and new arrears of newly regularized ReT teachers are also pending for last more than two years due to the shortage of grant for salary.
He maintained that the Junior Engineers are also working in same zones from the very long time due top which now they become the main reasons of pendency of all construction works in whole district they ought to be reshuffled for the betterment of educational infrastructure.
"Many times our forum has received complaints from all zones of the district regarding the embezzlement of funds in various ZEO officers and also in CEO office Ramban, for the clearance of this matter, and we demand an inquiry should be conduct in the regard" he said. Hundreds of ReT Teachers from various zones assembled at district complex and shouted slogans against the government and the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Ramban. The protesting teachers were raising slogans in support of their demands, which also included demands of pending salaries, de-attachment of attached employee in CEO office and ZEO offices, release of expenditure from their own pockets for midday meal and construction of toilets.
Later, the protesting ReTs also submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ramban Mohammad Aijaz in presence of CEO Ramban Mohammad Sharief who patiently heard their grievances and assured them timely redressal of the same.
DC Ramban also directed the CEO Ramban to all attached employees in offices and transfering overstay junior engineer and other concern officers.
