Terrorists go on killing spree to create fear as common man raises banner of revolt

Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 18: Terrorists operating in South Kashmir are leaving no stone unturned to create fear psychosis and unleash terror in the villages in south Kashmir.
During the past two days terrorists have killed a worker of ruling Peoples Democratic Party Mohammad Ramzan Sheikh and a teacher Aijaz Ahmad Lone in Shopian and Pulwama districts.
On Monday terrorists barged into the house of Ramzan Sheikh at Homhuna village in Shopian district and shot him dead, his family members repulsed the attack and killed the terrorist also.
Soon after the terrorist was buried on Tuesday, mob attacked the house of the PDP worker and ransacked it. Later the house was set ablaze. "Terrorists couldn't believe that their hegemony has been challenged and a common man has killed a gun wielding terrorist. They instigated the people and joined the mob to set ablaze the house of the PDP worker so that no one could dare to challenge them again," said a source.
On Wednesday morning throat slit body of a teacher Aijaz Ahmad Lone was found near Lar Maadan Stadium in Wathoo area.
Sources said that a note- apparently left by the Hizbul terrorists was found on his body along with a cell phone. The note in Urdu, read: "Revenge for Zahid Bhai, Irfan Bhai and Asif Bhai."
An official said that terrorists are on the run as security forces are after them and they are falling like lame ducks. "They (terrorists) have been wiped out from Anantnag and Kulgam districts. Now the terrorists are just confined to Pulwama and Shopian areas but people in these areas are coming forward and are getting them eliminated," the official added.
He said, "Terrorists have realized that their days are numbered and their end is near. They are killing civilians to ensure that their writ prevails but their nefarious are being foiled with the active cooperation of the people."
A politician expressed anguish and sorrow over the killing of a PDP worker and a teacher by the terrorists and termed these murders as "barbaric." "Separatists who claim to the champions of human rights and so-called Messiah of people have not uttered a single word about these two innocents being killed," he said.
"The slain PDP worker tried to save his life by entering into a scuffle with the terrorist. Everyone has got a right to save his life. Terrorists burnt his house for resisting their move. Unfortunately no one in Kashmir has got the guts to condemn these senseless acts," the politician added.
