Geelani, a hypocrite, has no guts to criticize his bosses
11/13/2017 11:03:56 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 13: The Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani by criticizing National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah for ruling out possibility of "Independent Kashmir" has once again proved that he is a "hypocrite."
Just a few days before when Pakistan Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi ruled out "independent Kashmir" as an option, Geelani and his colleagues did not utter a word.
The first one to take on Geelani was the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah. Taking a dig at the Geelani for criticizing Dr Farooq Omar Abdullah asked if Geelani can react to Pakistan Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi's repeated statements that "Azadi was not an option for Kashmir".
"Can Geelani show me his reaction to the Pak PM who has recently repeated several times that Azadi is not an option for Kashmir. Hypocrisy is a Geelani trait," Omar wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
A Kashmir watcher said that Geelani did not react to Abbasi's statement as he did not want to annoy his bosses sitting across the Line of Control (LoC). "Geelani, Mirwaiz and Yasin Malik have always welcomed what Pakistani rulers have said. They have even welcomed the innocent killings which the henchmen of Pakistan have carried out in Kashmir. On the other hand these people have always criticized the statement of mainstream politicians which have exposed them," he said.
A politician said that it's clear now that "independent Kashmir" was never an option and the present Pakistan Prime Minister has spilt the beans. "People like Geelani who have been misleading people of Kashmir on the name of Azadi for the past 30-years stand exposed. They have turned entire Kashmir into graveyard for the sake of Pakistan," he added.
The politician said that Dr Farooq Abdullah has stirred the hornet's nest by ruling out "independent Kashmir." "Dr Farooq has made it clear that Kashmir belongs to India and Pakistan has been making desperate attempts to snatch it from India. Kashmiris have wasted past 30-years and the so-called leaders like Hurriyat hawk Geelani have built mansions over the bodies of Kashmiri boys," he added.
Meanwhile another senior leader asked Geelani to explain to the people why he couldn't muster the courage to criticize and question similar remarks made by the Pakistan Prime Minister just two days before the NC President's remarks? "What politics of hypocrisy is this? Geelani Sahab couldn't say a single word about the Pak Prime Minister's remarks that an independent Kashmir is not a possibility but expressed selective outrage when Dr Farooq Abdullah expressed his views on this issue keeping in view ground-realities", the leader added.
