Jammu, Dec 13: An Inter school Dogri folk dance competition was held at Alexander Memeorial School where in students of JK Montessorie British School brought laurels by winning 1stPrize. The folk dance competition was organized by "Youth Talent Search" a forum of private schools. About 10 schools participated in the competition, ten to twelve students from each school participated. Those students who participated in the competition included Mehak Mehra, Aditi Sharma, Anjali Jamwal, Aishini Kapoor, Zeal Kour, Aarushi Sharma, Shreya Sharma, Shreen Pandita, Sidhima Gulati, Apeksha Sharma, Akriti Gupta and Asha Jyoti Bahera of class 9th won 1st Prize in Dogri folk dance. The students were beautifully attired and with great vivacity, students performed dances.
It was a treat for eyes watching children performing various difficult steps which left the audience spell bound and craving for more.
Director Academics Rajni Gupta appreciated the efforts of the students and expressed her gratitude in organizing the competition in order to reveal the latent talent of the students. She also thanked the choreographer Kapil & Activity Coordinator Navjyot Kour who has prepared the "Dogri Folk Dance" as well as the teachers also.
