PDP Minister likely to be shown door
'We'll teach a lesson to Kans Mama'
12/14/2017 11:23:40 PM
Early Times Report
Srinagar, Dec 14: A senior Minister from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party whose relationship with the PDP top-brass had run into rough weather is likely to be shown door soon.
Early Times learnt from highly placed sources that this minister from south Kashmir was no more in the good books of the party high command and that some of his colleagues have registered serious complaints against him.
Sources said one of his relatives, who is also a Senior leader from South Kashmir, has given a negative feedback about the performance of the minister.
"Mama Ji had been keeping an eagle's eye on the mantri ji and was not satisfied with latter's performance and conveyed the same to the leadership," the sources said.
Sources said following negative inputs, the party leadership held a closed-door meeting where "mamaji" managed to convince others that the minister should be cut to size.
Recently, this Minister was conspicuous by his absence, when Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti visited a shrine in Srinagar in the wake of a fire incident there. That time rumour mills were rife that the minister was not in good relations with the PDP over appointment of new chief of the Wakf Board, But subsequently there came a twist in the story when two had resolved the issues.
It was reliably learnt the minister has been sent feelers by the PDP leadership that he would be out of the cabinet soon. Sources said in the wake of the input, the minister visited office of his cabinet colleague and told the latter that the government was not working in the right direction.
Sources said the duo unanimously termed the "mamaji" as "kans mama" and decided to teach him a lesson. "Kans Mama needs to be exposed and we will do it soon because we have enough of 'funding' against him," the sources said.
Despite repeated attempts, the minister or those against him couldn't be contacted for comments.
But a senior PDP leader confirmed that the minister was likely to be shown door from the cabinet. "We have such feelers," he said.
