Tug-of-War Association selects team for national championship

Jammu, Jan 12: The Jammu & Kashmir Tug-of-War Association under the Presidentship of Hardeep Singh Anand has selected teams to participate in the 30th Senior National and 15th Sr Federation Cup Men and Women Tug -of-War Championship being held from 13th to 18th Jan at Anandpur Sahib Punjab.
The teams were selected by Hardeep Singh Anand - President of the Association, Jodh Singh Isher - Secretary, Jasvir Singh - Joint Secretary J&K Tug of War Association and Rajinder Singh Secretary Poonch District under the supervision of J & K Sports Council screening committee member comprising of Shiv Kumar Sharma Joint Secretary J&K Sports Council Jammu, Haji Abdul Qyoom Chief Sports Officer, Ravi Kumar - Divisional Sports Officer and various Committee members at Green Field, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The selected players for 30th Senior National underweight category 640KG Men include: Vinish Paul Singh, Islam Ahmad, Owais Gulzar, Pritam, Asif Rafiq, Zahid Bashir, Varundeep Singh, Aqib Jeelani and Zaffar-ul-Islam.
In the 600KG Men include : M/S. Ishfaq Ahmed, Harkaran Singh, Sahil Sharma, Gurjote Singh, Garg Dev Manhas, Kulwant Singh, Paaras Kotwal, Muktar Raina and Ritesh Anand.
In the 560KG mix Men & Women include: M/S. Sourav Kumar, Jasmeet Singh, Sunil Singh, Abhishek Raina, Neeraj Kumar, Gurleen Kour, Kiran Kumari, Jagandeep Kour and Vishali.
In the 480KG Women include: M/S. Tamanna Manhas, Nahida Jeelani, Yasmeen Fatima, Bharti Devi, Shaheen Kousar, Jyoti Kumari, Samiksha Kapahi, Sheriya Kapahi and Prerna Kotwal.
The selected players for 15th Senior Federation Cup under Weight Category 640KG Men include: Shivam Bhardwaj, Akash Bhardwaj, Abhishek Khajuria, Mangat Ram, Kulvinder Singh, Anil Kumar, Rakesh Khajuria, Atul Sharma and Gurpreet Singh.
In the 540KG Mix Men and Women Include: Sorab Dutta, Ajmal Humayun, Mohd Shahraz, Shalinder Singh, Sunny Thakur, Mamta Khajuria, Rekha Sharma, Anu Radha Sharma and Neetu Sharma.
