Grameen Bank organizes D-FLAP at village Mathwar

Jammu, Jan 23: Micro Finance and Financial Inclusion Department under the chairmanship of RK Chhibber in collaboration with NABARD organized Digital-Financial Literacy Awareness Programme in village Mathwar (unbanked area) under the branch office Bhalwal.
RK Chhibber, Chairman J&K Grameen bank, was the chief guest on the occasion and has highlighted about developments in banking sector. He informed the participants regarding various modes of getting cashless transactions from banks, various safeguards to be kept in mind in order to be aware and prevent cases of cheating/corruption while availing different banking facilities with special reference to use of ATM cards, Mobile banking etc.
He impressed upon the participants not to use any middle man from availing any benefit from the bank and approach the bank branch directly. He laid emphasis on adoption of social security schemes launched by GOI on war footing; that shall ameliorate the lot of unorganized sector hat remain deprived from such facilities.
Vipan Gupta, Senior Manager MF&FI Department J&K Grameen bank, highlighted that with our thrust on enabling an impactful mindset changes towards Cash to cashless economy, we are nurturing environment of transformation across our clientele, structures, systems, processes and skills in the bank as a whole. As part of customer-centric approach, our staff has aligned them better with the evolving customer needs so that the GOI initiatives on a shift to cashless economy are achieved.
KL Sharma, Regional Manager, Jammu, J&K Grameen bank, addressed the gathering and detailed them regarding social security schemes APY, PMJJBY & PMSBY.GCCs, KCCs, Dairy and Car loans of more than Rs.30 lakh were also disbursed during the programme. Representatives of various Line Departments also attended the programme.
Besides the huge gathering Sarpanchs, Panchs, Women of the area and other dignitaries of the villages were also present during the occasion. They appreciated the efforts of the bank towards social security schemes and applauded that the bank is making extraordinary efforts to make the national programme of the social security schemes a big success.
