Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 17: Trilok Singh Bist, Principal, Jodhamal Public School said forcing the courses or streams on the students by their parents does not augur well for the future of their wards. "Any course pursued by the student should be by choice based on their interest and not by force of the parents or any other people", Trilok Singh Bist opined.
He was the Resource Person on the career counselling session at OAT Hall of Jodhamal Public School to interact with students and parents of Grade 10th to give them a little insight on the career paths of the 21st century. Bist expressed concern that if the streams were hoisted by force on the students, they will face problems in studies with the passage of time and it will lead to the depression among the students which will lead to the wastage of the human resource in our country.
Parents were told about the changes in the professions with passage of time and how to dare to get into the unconventional professions.
The time is changing so very fast that by now almost 50% of the worldwide jobs are automated as per the Frey'2017 report and almost 2 billion jobs will be automated by say 2030 and then what will help people will be the soft skills and without skills one will find difficult to survive.
