Efforts underway to ensure JK's holistic development: Dy CM

JAMMU, Feb 20: Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh today said that efforts are afoot to ensure holistic development of the state so that the people are provided with quality basic facilities of living. He said necessary mechanism has already been put in place to ensure time bound execution of various developmental initiatives.
The Deputy Chief Minister was interacting with several deputations who called on him and projected their respective grievances and demands.
The deputations had come from Kathua, Mendhar, Kargil, Ramban, Anantnag, Budgam, Poonch, Paddar and other areas of the State.
Deputy Chief Minister while assuring early redressal of the issues projected by the deputations gave on spot directions to the officers of the concerned departments to ensure that their grievances are resolved within shortest possible time. He said the executing agencies and officers should work in a coordinated manner to remove the bottlenecks if any and ensure the benefit of the welfare schemes reaches the targeted populace. It is pertinent to mention that Deputy Chief Minister had been conducting public Durbar on Tuesday in which hundreds of deputations and people from every district come for redressal of their grievances.
