Anti encroachment drive launched in Kishtwar

Kishtwar, Mar 19: On the direction of government, the District Administration Kishtwar with the help of Kishtwar police today launched massive anti encroachment drive in Kishtwar town and it's vicinity areas and removed dozens of Khokas and Rehries in the area.
As per the details, team of Municipal officials led by Executive Officer Municipal Committee Kishtwar, team of Magistrate along with heavy police contingent including SHO Kishtwar Sameer Jillani, DySP Kishtwar Nihar Ranjan launched the drive from Malipath Chowk to New DC office Kuleed comprises of areas of Bus Stand Kishtwar, Jamia Masjid Lane, Kuleed Chowk beside at Mini Bus Stand Kishtwar, Fareedia Chowk and other areas.
SP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary also rush to the spot to avoid any law and order problem and joined the team to give strength to it so that the drive could be carried out peaceful and effectively.
Speaking to media persons, SP Kishtwar said that on the request of District Administration police is providing security assistance to the team that carried out the anti encroachment drive in the District. He said that due to installation of unauthorized Khokas and Rehries by the people, Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas are facing massive traffic jamming as well as causes hindrance to the commuters. He said that this is the first phase of anti encroachment drive in which unauthorized Khokas and Rehries were removed while in next phase, permanent structures will be removed. He urged upon the people to remove the encroachment at its own before the administration will act against them.
