Jammu, May 15: A wreath laying ceremony was organized to bid farewell to the brave Ct Devendra Singh, who was martyred during cross border firing by Pakistan. Late Ct commanded his duty post valiantly by giving befitting reply to the suppressing enemy fire. While defending the sanctity of the country, the valiant borderman laid life and made supreme sacrifice in the service to the nation.
Brave soldier sustained bullet injury on the left eye during cross border firing by Pakistan on 15 May 2018 at about 0025 hrs. Individual was immediately evacuated to Jammu but later succumbed to injuries. On 15 May 2018 wreath laying ceremony was organized at Frontier Headquarter BSF Camp Paloura Jammu and paid rich tribute to brave soldier
Late Ct Devendra Singh. Kavinder Gupta, Dy CM J&K, K K Sharma, Director General, BSF, SP Vaid, DG JKP, I D Singh IG JKP, Rafiq ul Hasan DIG JKP, P S Sandhu IG BSF, Ram Awtar, IG BSF Jammu along with BSF officers and men paid floral tribute to the Martyr in Jammu.
