Vehicle lifter held with 4 stolen motor cycles

Jammu, May 15 : In continuation to operation 'Chetak', a special drive against vehicle theft cases launched by Jammu Police, today Gandhi Nagar Police apprehended one vehicle lifter and recovered 04 stolen Motor Cycles from his possession.
Police spokesman said that today Police Party of Gandhi Nagar police station arrested one person in a case under FIR No. 49/2018 under relevant sections of law at Police Station Gandhi Nagar.
"During sustain questioning it came to light that arrested person belongs to Samba District and 04 Motor Cycles stolen from the different areas of District Jammu and its outskirts have been recovered on his disclosure.
Police spokesman said that the recovered motorcycle included Bajaj Discover Motorcycle 125 CC, Bearing Registration no. JK02AM-1463, Hero Passion Pro Bearing Registration no. JK02A-0247, Motor Cycle Suzuki without registration number and Bajaj Discover Bearing Registration no. JK02AF-3452.
The arrest and recovery was made by Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia, SHO Gandhi Nagar assisted by SI Kali Charan of Gandhi Nagar police station under the supervision of SDPO City South Rafiq Manhas and SP City South Sandeep Choudhary.
