RDV committee decides to hold volleyball championships

RAJOURI, May 15: Four-member adhoc committee of Rajouri District Volleyball, constituted by President Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir (VAJK), Sidharth Daluja during General body meeting recently, on today held a maiden meeting to discuss the future course of action to promote volleyball games in Rajouri district.
The Adhoc committee was headed by Mohd Tariq while Ghulam Abbas, Wasim Raja Mallick and Mohd Arshad were its three other members.
In the meeting, the committee members decided to hold four open volleyball championships at Manjakote, Darhal, Nowshera and Siot in the district Rajouri soon. Apart from this, Mohd Tariq said, District Volleyball Championship will be held in the month of July 2018 at Rajouri. In order to gear up volleyball activities in the district, Committee members nominated Rakesh Chowdary from Nowshera, Balraj Sharma from Sunderbani, Rajinder from Muradpur, Imataiz from Manjakote and Shakeel Ahmed from Kotranka as zonal officials to conduct volleyball activities in their respective areas.
The committee, constituted for rejuvenating volleyball activities in Rajouri District owing to dismal performance of earlier body, assured to come up to the expectations of the State Association in promoting and nurturing volleyball game in Rajouri District.
