KPC appeals PM to roll back unilateral cease fire in valley

NEW DELHI, May 17: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) while reacting over announcement of unilateral cease fire in Kashmir valley by the central government stated that the nationalist forces in particular Kashmiri Pandits are highly dejected and demoralized by the cease fire announced by the center government during the Ramzan.
KPC said security forces have been asked not to launch operations in the region during the next thirty days but there is no guarantee available with the government that there would be no violation from the terrorists or Pakistan which is provoking youths to carry out mischief in Kashmir Valley. However, in response on the first day of Ramzan cease fire, the terrorists attacked our brave hearts in the valley and Pakistan lobbed shells on LoC in the state of J&K.
Kundan Kashmiri, president KPC in a meeting at New Delhi today stated that such experiment and exercise was also made during the Vajpayee regime in 2000, but has proved fatal and counterproductive after getting huge number of security forces killed and witnessed lot of disturbances in the valley.
President KPC further questioned that what for the said cease fire has been declared in the Ramzan month, when these terrorists and stone pelters, have guns and stones in their hands to kill others and have no moral ethics and religion. It is also surprising that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, who pushed forward this proposal to the center for approval is not herself in a position to visit her constituency without huge security contingent.
