ReT Forum demands delinking of SSA salary
5/22/2018 9:39:56 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, May 22: J&K ReT Teachers' Forum has strongly demanded the delinking of SSA salary from the source of funding by absorbing the SSA posts under state plan to find a permanent solution of the chronic issue which has put the families of more than 40000 SSA teachers in miserable conditions. As per a press release jointly issued by State President Vinod Sharma and state Chairman Gazi Abdul Aziz, duo said that ReT Forum has welcomed the move of Education Minister by framing a committee headed by MoS Education Shakti Raj Parihar on May 12 who will submit its report within 15 days and majority of Teachers haven't indulged in any confrontation at the moment and are anxiously waiting a permanent solution of SSA salary by delinking the same. "We are hopeful that committee will come up with a permanent solution and SSA teachers will get their salaries monthly basis and wouldn't have to wait months together for the same, as promised by education minister to our deputation at Jammu on May 6 and to various deputations of teachers at Srinagar on May 12 , so we have avoided any sort of confrontation till May 27", said Vinod Sharma adding that ReT Forum will not accept SSA Salary for the month of April 2018 if same is released without 7th pay commission.
He urged the government to come in the rescue of families of thousands of SSA teachers of the state and not to force them to leave their schools and come on roads as they don't have such intention which can make suffer lakhs of poor students.
