Early Times Report Kathua, May 22: The Interzone District Level Tournament of District Kathua for under 14 and 17 years boys and girls in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball and Cricket started today here at Police Lines Kathua and Government Higher Secondary School Kathua boys. The tournament was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rohit Khajuria, and supervised by District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kathua Subash Chander Bhardwaj. At Government Higher Secondary School Kathua the competitions of Kho-Kho Kabaddi, Volleyball were declared open by principal Kewal Singh in the presence of DYSSO Bhardwaj, Zonal Physical Education Officers Sukesh Kumar Kailash Chander, Pardeep Singh and Yog Raj Sharma. The competitions of cricket for under 14 boys inaugurated by DYSSO Bhardwaj at district police lines Kathua where the competitions are being organised under the convenorship of Zonal Physical Education Officer Rajesh Kumar. Meanwhile, zone Hiranagar emerged the winner of under 14 volleyball, under 17 Volleyball and under 17 Kabaddi titles. Zone Kathua lifted at the trophies od under 14 Kabaddi and Kho-Kho titles. Today's match were officiated by Sartaj Singh, Subash Chander Bhardwaj, Manjeet Kour, Naresh Kumar, Gopal Dass, Mand-eep Singh, Vinod Sethi under the convenorship of Zonal Physical Education Officer Sukesh Kumar, Pradeep Singh and Yog Raj Sharma. |
