Federation of Retailers Association holds meet 5/26/2018 11:10:13 PM Early Times Report Jammu, May 26: Working committee of the federation of Retailers Association Jammu today held a meeting under the chairmanship of its President Yash Paul Gupta today. The members raised the point of election of the federation. The Previous accounts were present and they were passed. The senior most member of the federation Deep Chand Jain was unanimously appointed as the Election Commissioner for conducting the election of the federation for the next term. He was authorized to co-opt any two members of his choice for the smooth conduct of the election from the federation. It was decided that the election will be held in the month of July, 2018 on some convenient date subject to the availability of some suitable venue for the election meeting of the federation. The notice for the same will be given in newspaper well in time before the election date. Office bearer of the federation with delegates had an important interaction with Dr. Parvez Ahmed Assistant Commissioner Food Safety along with team of his food safety officer about the need of providing pure food items to the consumers and the need of creating awareness about the same to the business community as well as consumers. The officers of the food safety department assured the members not to harass them in any way because there main aim was to ensure the quality of the food items being manufactured, packed and sold in the market. They reiterated that the Deptt. will launch a campaign in this regard will be continued through the year which will be continued to awaken the public about the necessity of using safe food items.
