Early Times Report
Kishtwar May 26: To intensify the pressure on the government to address their long pending demands, the Patwaris in Kishtwar District on the 13th day of their ongoing indefinite pen down strike took to streets and held a strong protest against the government for their failure to address the long pending demands of the agitating Patwaris.
A huge rally was organised by Patwar Association District unit Kishtwar today from Dak Banglow to new DC office complex. A huge gathering of Patwaries of all sections of revenue, irrigation and settlement were present in the rally and had arrived from far flung areas of the District to make the protest successful.
The rally which was led by District President Nisar Ahmed Butt was organised to show the resentment against the government for not fulfilling the genuine demands of patwaries.
While talking to Early Times President AJKPA Kishtwar Nisar Ahmed Butt warned the government that the strike will be intensified if all demands are not fulfilled by the government till Monday.
He once again showed his regret towards the general public for inconvenience being faced by them due to strike and hold the government responsible for the same. He said that the Association can understand the sufferings of the people added that if demands accepted till Monday, the Patwaris will work in double shift to clear the pendency and hope that Government without any further confrontation will accept all the genuine demands of agitating Patwaris so that work in Government colletrates will be resumed henceforth.
