Rajouri, June 12: After several complaints of encroachment on forest land at Tattapani, a tourist village in Rajouri district where hot water springs are situated, Forest Range Officer along with his team have removed encroachment on about 6 kanal of forest land in the morning today.
There were apprehensions of communal clash but heavy deployment of forest protection force didn't face any such situation because the encroachments were done by the members of both the communities. According to Mahroof Shah, Range Forest Officer, Kalakot information was received at about 10 pm that a JCB machine has been deployed by the management of Majid-cum-Madarsa to level the forest land for the construction of toilet complex at Tattapani.
