Doda, June 24: Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association today declared open JKCA Premier Championship at District Doda.
In the tournament, 20 teams are participating in the Knockout basis as per the pattern already adopted in other ongoing district tournaments.
The players participating are given chance to show their talent and give opportunity to reserve their seat as probable for JKCA under the notable administration of Justice C.K. Prasad retired Judge of the Supreme Court and Justice Syed Rafat Alam Chief Justice of M. P. and Allahabad High Courts & Chief Executive Officer, JKCA Ashiq Hussain Bukhari (IPS), retired DIG.
The tournament is being organised in phase 2nd under the supervision of Sham Saroop Kalsotra, Committee Member, JKCA, Jammu.
The JKCA has taken the initiative to connect & engaged the youth by medium of cricketing activities via promoting the cricket at district level & the tournament is open for affiliated, Non-affiliated clubs & Teams for far flung areas from the districts.
The tournament at Degree College Ground, Bhaderwah was inaugurated by Sheikh Mehboob Iqbal, Fr. Chairman, JKCA as Chief Guest in the presence of Prof. S. S. Bhalwal, Principal, Govt. Degree College, Bhd, Col. D. D. Panday, Commanding officer (4RR), Pawan Parihar, ADC, Rajinder Singh, ASP & Rajinder Khajuria, CEO, BDA as Guests of Honour at the impressive inauguration function arranged by Sameer Malik, Coordinator, Doda-Bhaderwah District Tournament Organising Committee & its Executive members formed by J&K Cricket Association. Other present during the function are Shoket Malik, Committee Executive Member, Mehruj ud Din, Shafqat Khakan Malik, Tahir Malik, Meshooq Ashiq Shapoo & many senior cricketers.
The inaugurated match was played between Young Star Doda, & Degree College, Bhaderwah.
