Jammu, July 11: Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) has criticized the Power Development Department (PDD) for their failure in ease of doing business.
According to press release, a meeting of BBIA was held under the President ship of Lalit Mahajan in the presence of Suresh Mahajan, Sr. Vice President, Ajay Langer General Secretary, Vivek Singhal Secretary and Viraaj Malhotra Treasurer BBIA & other members.
During the course of discussions Members present in the meeting raised serious concern in respect of non implementation of Ease of Doing Concept by the Power Development Department resulting our State position at 22nd Rank amongst the Indian States in the Ease of Doing Business Ranking.
It is a matter of great concern that the adoption of Ease of Doing Concept by Power Development Department is pending since last two years in spite of the necessary directions by then Chief Minister & Deputy Chief Minister in the number of meetings held with Stake Holders .
It is worthwhile to mention here that the Power Development Department not at all adhere the guidelines of the Govt. Order No 152-PDDof 2011 dated 28-04-2011 by the virtue of which a regular monthly meeting shall be held to clear the pending Power Connection cases. Further the file related to the Re-Delegation of Powers to the Designated Officials to minimize the delay in the sanction of Power Connections not yet cleared by the Department in spite of the Assurances given by the Govt. from Time to Time.
BBIA appealed governor to intervene in the matter.
