Early Times Report

Jammu, July 11: Director of the Forest Protection Force (FPF) on Wednesday ordered attachment of Satish Singh Manhas, in-charge Assistant Director, presently posted at FPF Gamma Unit J-02, Sidhra in the office of Joint Director FPF, Jammu.
The attachment was ordered following publication of a report in Early Times's July 4 edition titled 'Complaint against Forest officer gathers dust'. "Pending inquiry has been initiated against Satish Singh Manhas vide order no. 460-DFPF of 2018, dated 12-05-2018", reads the order issued by Director FPF, Asaf Mehmood Sagar. Sanjay Kumar Manhas, in-charge Assistant Director-II of Gamma Unit J-02 Sidhra, Jammu, has been ordered to look after the assignment of Satish Singh Manhas.
It is pertinent to mention here that subordinates of Satish Manhas (I/C AD-II) who was posted at FPF Gamma Unit J-2 Sidhra had filed

complaint with the Director FPF for harassing them on December 7, 2017.
"As soon as the subordinates filed against Satish Manhas, he started harassing his subordinates and forcing them to take back the complaint lodged with the higher-ups", the complainant alleged.
It is relevant to mention here that a female subordinate had also filed a complaint with the higher-ups against Manhas alleging that she is not feeling comfortable working under Satish Manhas.
Satish Manhas is a repeated offender. In the past he was accused of harassing his employees and was transferred to Doda in 2009. "We the employees of FPF gamma unit J-2, don't want to serve under this offender," his subordinates have said in the complaint.
It is worthwhile to mention here in that in 2015, some neighbours of Manhas also filed a complaint with Joint Director FPF alleging that the officer in question harassed them.
