SAB (B) hails Governor's decision of holding panchayat election
7/17/2018 10:11:45 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, July 17: A meeting of Ex. Committee of SAB (B) was held at Jammu under the chairmanship of Party President Jathadar Mohinder Singh wherein the decision taken by the Governor N. N. Vohra to declare the modification in Panchyati Raj Act carried out by previous dispensation; as null and void and hold the elections of Panchayats and other local and urban bodies was hailed. Although the decision of holding the Panchayat election should have been taken much earlier by the Popular Government still we welcome the bold decision of Governor. It was impressed upon all the community members throughout the state to remain prepared and actively participate in the ensuing elections and elect the community representatives wherever they are in the number and should go for understanding at other places with like minded people to ensure a good come out.
This is the basic exercise which is necessitated to have a strong base for ensuring assembly and parliamentary elections in near future. It is demand of time that our community should have a strong political hold as majority of our rights and demands have remained unattended as no Political Parties has fulfilled the promises made during the elections with our community; our demands such as constitution of minority commission, reservation of community youths in Govt.
