Kishtwar, July 18: The two day long awareness campaign initiated by Bureau of Outreach & Communication, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, J&K Region concluded at Government Higher Secondary School, Bhata, in Palmar block of Kishtwar district. On this occasion a number of Interactive sessions were organized which included seminar, expert lectures, question answer session, administration of swachhta pledge, distribution of prizes etc. The resource persons drawn from Rural Development and intellectuals from Education Department delivered key note addresses about the provisions and various aspects of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. A grand rally of about 300 students and teachers was organised which was flagged off by Yogeshvar Dutt Sharma, Block Development Officer, Palmar who was the chief guest on this occasion. The Rally Started from Government Higher secondary School & Passed through the bazaar and culminated at the Host Institute. The participants of Rally displayed placards and chanting slogans further disseminated the awareness of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in the area. Earlier speaking on the occasion Gurnam Singh, Incharge Field Outreach Bureau, Udhampur highlighted the importance of such campaigns for reaching out the masses at their root steps at grass root level. The Swachhta Plegde was administered among the audience by Sunita Kumari Shrama, Principal of the host school who presided over the function. |
