2 absconders held

Jammu, July 30: Two absconders have been arrested who were wanted in separate cases at different place in Rajouri and Kathua districts.
Police spokesman said that Rajouri police here today arrested an absconder who was wanted in a case but was evading his arrest for last eight years.
Police identified the absconder as Mohd Azam of Saim Simit in Thannamandi.
He was involved in a Case under FIR No. 102/2011 under sections 341 and 323 of RPC of Police Station Manjakote and was arrested from Rajouri today by a team headed by SHO Rajouri Tahir Khan.
The warrant of his arrest was also issued by Special Magistrate Rajouri.
Meanwhile, Kathua Police arrested absconder who was evading his arrest for more than 5 years.
Police spokesman said that team of Police Post Hatli led by SI Verinder Singh, In-charge Police Post succeeded in arresting an absconder namely Gurcharan Singh of Barnoti Kathua.
The accused was absconding since 06-12-12 and was declared absconder in a case under FIR No. 274/95 under sections 323, 324, 201 of RPC and 4/25 of Arms Act of Police Station Kathua by the order of Munsif JMIC Kathua.
