HISI organizes free education tour of Jammu city

JAMMU, Aug 9: 'Healthy India Stronger India (HISI)'carried out an exceptional free educational tour of Jammu city, for its students.
The uniqueness of this trip was its secular status, wherein a troupe of 20 students along with the executive members of HISI was flagged off by Hira Lal Abrol, Chairman-Healthy India Stronger India from Indira Chowk, that is located in the heart of Jammu City.
First destination of the program was the 'HariNiwas Palace'. Here the children admired the heritage associated with the grandeur of this royal place, they were mesmerized to see the kingly museum and enjoyed scenic bounties from the park of 'Amar Mahal'.
Healthy India, Stronger India is an NGO founded by its Chairman ShHiraLalAbrol. This NGO is running a 'Free Training Centre' for skill development of needy and poor children from BPL families. The training centre offers 3 months, free courses in Basic Computers; Cutting & Tailoring Classes; Beautician Course as well as Free Library for the students. Nearly 500 students have passed out, after successful completion of courses from this centre. They have been placed in various organizations and some of them have even started their own ventures. It is heartening to see that they are earning a good livelihood for their families and are living a respectable life in society.In addition to training in skill development, HISI equips its students with moral values and life skills. The students are motivated to live a healthy life and to stay away from tobacco and drugs. HISI has the vision to uplift the place of women in the society and make them self-reliant. Girls and women trainees of the NGO have recently been trained in 'Self Defence'.
