Early Times Report

JAMMU, Aug 13: PDP leadership is desperate these days as Talib Hussain- the "trump card" of the party had planned to use to reap political benefits in the state, has been arrested on rape charges.
Sources claimed that PDP leadership deputed one its top leader's to influence Samba Police to get the rape accused released from the jail.
They said for the past one year PDP leadership was patronizing and supporting Talib Hussain to change the ideology of innocent Gujjars and Bakerwals who have been living with people of Jammu region with complete peace and brotherhood since centuries. Agenda of PDP leadership was to intrude among Gujjars and Bakerwals through Talib Hussain as this nomadic community has repeatedly rejected PDP's divisive politics.
Credible sources said that through Talib Hussain and others PDP leadership had planned to instigate peace loving Gujjars and Bakerwals against the people with whom they have shared cordial ties since ages. The party had planned to reap political benefits of this situation in Kashmir Valley also.
Credible sources said that in Kashmir Valley Gujjars and Bakerwals traditionally are strong vote bank of National Conference (NC) while in Jammu region this votes of community divided between NC and Congress.
Despite repeated attempts by the party by brazenly playing a "communal card" PDP leadership failed to get the support of Gujjars and Bakerwals in Jammu region as this community has always rejected divisive politics. Talib Hussain was only hope for the PDP leadership to change the ideologue of this nomadic community so party had invested a lot on him but after his arrest there is a feeling among PDP leadership that investment has gone waste as the woman who has registered rape complaint against Talib is also a Bakerwal. Secondly Gujjars and Bakerwals have realized that Talib Hussain was trying to play communal politics to fulfill agenda of his Valley based political masters.
